“Flash and artificial light”: a new tour in the permanent exhibition

On the occasion of the exhibition Flash! A brief history of photography (September 18, 2025 – February 22, 2026), a new self-guided tour invites visitors to rediscover the permanent exhibition through the lens of technical innovations in flash and artificial light. Available free of charge at the museum reception desk, the accompanying booklet highlights a selection of iconic objects—magnesium powder lamps, photographic revolvers, and cameras with built-in flashes—and showcases the inventions that transformed the way we photograph the world, by day and by night.
This tour offers fresh insight into how these devices expanded the field of vision and reshaped photographic practices and aesthetics.

The booklet is suitable for ages 10+.
