How do we deal with the fact that blurring not only conceals and anonymises details, but can also draw attention to them? How is blurring used today in different styles of artistic photography? Which artists use it? To celebrate Issue 10 of Focales magazine, devoted to “Photographic blurring in the contemporary era”, this discussion will bring together an artist and specialists to look at the various ways blurring is used in artistic representation today.
